For a long time ignored, snubbed or simply pushed aside from the markets, the wines of the Catalan Country are now on the upswing. For several decades, only the Collioure appellation had its pins in the game. Today, wine lovers are full of praise for the wines of the L’Agly Valley. Maury, Tautavel, Rasiguère, Estagel, Caramany, Latour-de-France, in conventional or organic farming, the wine of the Agly Valley is now an integral part of the Occitant wine heritage. And when you stay at the La Tour de France*** nature campsite, the wine heritage of this very special land will jump out at you. Vineyards as far as the eye can see, numerous wine cellars, tasting points…wine-growing will be part of your stay.

Agly Wine Route

The winegrowers come to you at the campsite

During your stay at the La Tour de France*** nature campsite, you will have many opportunities to get to know the wines and winegrowers of the Agly valley.  You will find a small wine cellar in the campsite’s grocery shop. Exclusively local wines. Then, during the week, the winemakers of the Trémoine cellar in Rasiguères will come and introduce you to their wines. A tasting session during which the winegrowers will share their know-how and their products. Finally, every week, the winegrowers of the organic Pons Gralet estate in Estagel, will come and offer you a discovery walk in their vineyard. Three opportunities to get to know the wine-growing heritage of our beautiful country.
