Breathtaking landscapes, impressive slopes, marked trails just for you and then… silence, nature, authenticity.

If you love hiking, you have come to the right place.

It is indeed here, in the Catalan hinterland, in the heart of the Fenouillèdes Cathares, that you will find the most beautiful hiking trails in the Eastern Pyrenees. Sporting, cultural and gastronomic hiking, in our region, a whole area has been opened up to the practice of hiking.

We already count no less than 40 marked circuits in a restricted area around the campsite.

And for the more sporty among you, the trail and running enthusiasts in the middle of nature, a trail station has been created in the Fenouillèdes.

Canyoning in the Galamus Gorge

Canyoning is a sport which is practised in many gorges of the Pyrénées-Orientales. The closest is Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, only a minute’s drive away. These are the gorges of Galamus.

These are gorges with a family reputation and are therefore aimed at a large public, even families. Of course the presence of a supervisor is highly recommended. The Deversud company, represented by Fred and Cyrielles, has been working in partnership with the campsite for many years and will be able to introduce you to canyoning in complete safety. The most daring can set off to discover the Gorges du Llech or the Gorges of Molitg-les-Bains.

The Canigou, a sacred mountain

The Canigou or Canigó is the sacred mountain of the Catalans. Wherever you are, wherever you come from, you will always hear a Catalan tell you about his Canigou. About its beauty when it is snowy, about its hiking trails which, in the middle of summer, will take you to the summit and its 2784m of altitude. Up there, all the way up, the cross awaits you. Then on foot, on horseback, running, by bike or simply in 4×4 launch yourself to the assault of the Canigou.

The Massif du Canigou has exceptional scenery in store for you.

Climbing and Via Ferrata

Hiking, climbing, canyoning 3

Climbing is a popular sport all around the campsite. Whether you practice alone or in a group, the cliffs of Tautavel, Vingrau or Opoul should seduce you.

For those who wish to do so, the campsite works closely with the Devrsud company, a professional outdoor activity company. They will offer you, among other things, an invitation to climbing (offered by the campsite) every Wednesday evening on their mobile wall. You will then be able to deepen your knowledge by leaving with Fred and Cyriel, directly on the cliffs of the backcountry.

Just a few minutes from the La Tour de France*** nature campsite you can also enjoy the Via Ferrata de Saint-Paul de Fenouillet, a sporty route in the rock, equipped with ladders, steps and various elements designed to make progress easier.
